China's currency goes global.

Piecemeal reforms are helping make China's yuan the currency of choice in global trade settlement more often, yet renminbi won't factor hugely in a multinational company's capital management planning until the offshore pool grows larger, said Philippe Jaccard, Citi's Head of Liquidity & Investments for Asia Pacific in a recent video. "Corporates have not yet felt the internationalization of the renminbi," he said. "It's really the birth that we are witnessing at this stage."
