Unlock a Bike. Unlock Miami.

Miami is one of Citi's most important U.S. markets, and we are stepping up our engagement with the growing Miami community through a series of initiatives that prioritize quality of life and increase our visibility throughout the city. Each unique experience offers a new way for Citi to be a part of people's everyday lives.

 
In early October, Citi was proud to announce its title sponsorship of the enormously popular Miami Beach bike share program and a major expansion of the program to Downtown Miami and Coconut Grove. The expansion builds on the success of the current program, which launched in 2011 with 1,000 bikes at 100 stations throughout Miami Beach and will feature a total of 1,750 bikes at 170 stations. Citi will be title sponsor of the program for at least five years, and DECOBIKE will continue as the program operator.
 
Citi currently sponsors the country's largest and best-known bike share program in New York City, which started in May 2013, and quickly became ingrained in the city's transportation system. These programs offer a convenient, healthy and sustainable way for people to travel within their cities. The programs in both New York and Miami are consistent with what Citi strives for as a company - they are innovative, sustainable and will simplify people's lives - and Citi is pleased to support its expansion.
 
Soon the existing system in Miami Beach and the new bikes in Downtown will be linked to increase ease of mobility throughout Miami and Miami Beach for residents and tourists. The program will also provide connections to new destinations, including Bayside Marketplace, American Airlines Arena, Miami Performing Arts Center, Pérez Art Museum Miami, Bayfront Park, Coconut Grove, Mary Brickell Village, Wynwood and Miami's financial district.
 
Citi's other community engagement programs in Miami include the company's sponsorship of the New World Symphony, America's Orchestral Academy, and its 2014-15 season. Through that relationship, Citi will be the presenting sponsor of the New World Symphony's WALLCAST™ concert series at Miami Beach SoundScape. Citi will also be the presenting sponsor of the SoundScape Cinema Series, an initiative of the City of Miami Beach. These are tremendous events in a beautiful setting, and Citi is thrilled to help support them.
 
Finally, the new Citi Lounge located in Miami's Aventura Mall, one of the premier shopping destinations in the country, is serving as a way to engage and thank Citi customers, especially during the holiday season. The temporary Lounge, created in November, features a gift wrapping station, coffee bar, Citi branded ATM and phone charging stations; and Citi customers can access exclusive merchant offers and discounts as well as retailer-hosted experiences and private events. More than 30,000 people will visit the Lounge before the end of the year, and based on its success, Citi will extend it through January 11, 2015.
