Today we announced that Citi will sponsor the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams as they compete for gold in London at the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Being an Olympic or Paralympic athlete is all about achieving excellence. That same pursuit of excellence that drives America's athletes also drives Citi's collective commitment to meeting the world's toughest challenges and seizing its greatest opportunities for our clients and customers.
As American athletes compete on the world stage, all of us at Citi will be proud-as America's global bank-to play an integral part in their Olympic and Paralympic journeys. The Games bring the world together as no other event can. They are a global celebration of competition, dedication, pride, passion and commitment that are the hallmarks of the world of sport.
As Citi approaches its 200th anniversary, supporting the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams is a great way for us to say "thank you" to the American people for their support. I look forward to sharing the excitement with our customers, community partners and employees across the country.
Congrats Citi on your 200th year supporting Olympic Athletic excellence. Your continued support is just one of the many examples of how you support your global community.
