Fast Company magazine named Citi to its 2011 "10 Most Innovative Companies in Finance" list. The company is number two on the list and the only bank in the group. The editors called out Citi's digital banking innovations "that seek to attract younger, more tech-savvy customers and transform banks into a destination" and its high-tech styling of seven Asia branches.
Citi opened a new U.S. flagship branch in December in New York City's Union Square offering many of the same features as those Asia branches, including interactive sales walls and 24/7 access to customer service experts via video-assist - the first of its kind in the United States.
