In the FT's recent piece (free registration required), "Crude realities: how big a threat are rising oil prices?," Robert DiClemente, Citi's Chief US Economist, said the sharp spike in oil prices has implications for U.S. growth, with the potential to "undermine recovery at a delicate point when financial headwinds have been abating and the broader economy has been demonstrating hints of self-sustaining momentum."
