Citi's thought leadership brand, Citi GPS: Global Perspectives & Solutions, recently launched a new website housing reports and opinion pieces written to date that provide insights and viewpoints on compelling issues and structure thematic trends in the global economy. The thought leadership series was developed as a means to deliver the depth of strategic thought that exists across Citi to a wide audience, including institutional investors, corporates, the public sector and individuals.
Citi GPS reports are aimed at a single theme or insight-driven topic without specific investment recommendations. The series was launched with Trade Transformed, an in-depth study of world trade and the dramatic potential transformation of trading patters over the next forty years as emerging markets continue to develop. Subsequent reports look at the similarities between today's frontier markets and the emerging markets of the 1980s, what the Mobile Payments opportunity could be globally and the factors that contribute to a successful Mobile Payments ecosystem and also explores the notion of energy independence in North America by 2020.
