Today, Citi CEO Vikram Pandit, New York Citi Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Department of Transportation Commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan announced that Citi will be the title sponsor for New York City's new bike share program, "Citi Bike." The $41 million sponsorship will create the nation's largest public bike share system at no cost to taxpayers.
Launching this July in parts of Manhattan and Brooklyn, the program will provide a new, affordable, 24/7 transportation option. New Yorkers currently make many short trips each day - 54 percent of all trips are under two miles. With 10,000 bikes and 600 bike docking stations, the signature blue Citi Bikes will improve access to the subway and allow New Yorkers access to bikes without worrying about bike parking or storage.

As we continue to focus on our corporate key principle of ingenuity and work aggressively to realize Vikram Pandit's vision of becoming the world's premier digital bank, we are constantly thinking about new ways to use technology effectively to enhance the client experience.
Over the past year, we have made great strides in those efforts. We've launched new applications for tablets in the U.S. and mobile phones around the globe. We began the global rollout of our new online banking experience, and we started enabling customers to deposit checks into their personal Citibank checking accounts via their mobile phones. And we've continued to invest in servicing our customers through social media, chat, and other digital channels. I am proud to share with you that recently, three separate, independent research groups recognized Citi for our efforts:

Last week, more than 50 highly talented Citi employees spent the day using their expertise to help ten nonprofit organizations address critical capacity building projects. It is the first of hopefully many Citi Skills Marathons. We have been working with the Citi Foundation and Citi Women for the last few months to orchestrate the event and are excited to see it come to life.
The Citi Skills Marathon is using a relatively new model for doing nonprofit capacity building - the marathon. The idea is to find bite-size opportunities to impact nonprofits and pair organizations with teams of Citi employees with specific subject matter expertise in areas such as HR, marketing, or strategic planning. Citi volunteers and non-profit personnel then spend one day together focused on addressing one discrete element of organizational need. We carefully designed the projects to add value in a one-day setting, which allows for maximum impact and convenience for both the nonprofits and the employee volunteers. In addition, having all of these different projects with other nonprofits and employees happening together on the same day sends a powerful message about collective power in fostering positive community impact.

Yesterday, Citi released its 12th annual Global Citizenship Report, detailing the bank's progress and performance on key environmental and social indicators. Highlights of the report include Citi surpassing its 2011 goal to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 10% and the Citi Foundation reaching 1.6 million people to date through grants that expand financial inclusion and economic empowerment.
Over the last 12 years we've made strides to continuously improve our transparency and disclosure on key issues based on our engagement with stakeholders, including clients and NGOs. This process has added value to the organization by helping our businesses better understand the needs of our clients and communities and identifying areas of opportunity to be innovative in our approach to supporting sustainable economic development.
